The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Wednesday afternoon with shares of Chevron and Amgen delivering the stiffest headwinds for the price-weighted average. Shares of Chevron
have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow
was most recently trading 59 points, or 0.2%, lower. Chevron’s shares have fallen $3.05, or 1.6%, while those of Amgen are down $4.37, or 1.5%, combining for an approximately 49-point drag on the Dow. Verizon
are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
