Accor Hotels has officially launched their brand new “All Beyond Limits” program, a collection of unique experiences available exclusively at select iconic Fairmont properties across North and Central America. TravelPulse traveled to Cancùn, Mexico, to attend the official launch and experience one of these experiences, “Symphony in a Cenote” which will be offered at the Fairmont Mayakoba.

The event was grandiose and, for the occasion, a hand-picked group of medias were the first to attend, with the Accor/Fairmont team. The red carpet evening, which took place in a cenote – an emblematic site to the Riviera Maya region that counts thousands of them on its territory – happened at Fairmont Mayakoba hotel which has just completed major renovations, launching a brand new “beach club” with cabanas and beach beds , a very, very chic restaurant and a breathtaking rooftop.

For the very first All Beyond Limits Experience, everything had been thought out, the transport, the cenote where the evening would be held, the logistic, the decor. The guests left the hotel at 6:45 p.m. to the cenote Rio Secreto, and the experience includes: dinner for two, transportation, a guided tour of the cenote, a table for two, a bottle of Moët & Chandon, savory and sweet bites and a love concert. All that in a larger than life setting, in the heart of one of the most beautiful cenotes in the region.

“Today ,everyone claims to be luxurious, but we, at Accor, wanted to push the boundaries of what luxury travel is and offer our guests truly luxurious experiences. Luxury is what you cannot buy, it is exclusivity” explained Michael Innocentin, senior vice-president marketing, Accor, who was part of the Accor/Fairmont delegation present during the first “Beyond Limits” activation.

The “Symphony in a Cenote” experience has been entirely imagined and crafted by the Accor/Fairmont team and exclusively designed for Fairmont Mayakoba guests.

“It’s tailor-made and its exclusive for our customers, we wanted them to be able to experience a cenote, but want it to be luxurious, exclusive, memorable and even more, moving, continues Mr. Innocentin.”

And it was exactly that.

To be underground, in a cenote, to follow a path lit by candles for 10 minutes before arriving on the main site and to be totally impressed, to live a moment that we will probably never experience again, this is indeed our new definition of luxury.

The decor is mind-blowing and the concert is in fact a symphony that covers hits from the 2000s until today, which is entertaining, impressive and fun all at the same time.

The experience offered at the Fairmont Mayakoba was built around a cenote, since it is characteristic of this region, but the other All Beyond Limits experiences offered at other Fairmont establishments have all been tailor-made to represent their regions and to bring it to life, without limits, to Accor customers.

“Today its a evening in cenote, but in the next few weeks we will be bringing to life an underwater ballet at our Hawaii property, an oxygen bar and a yoga session at 7,000 ft. at Lake Louise, the goal is to surprise, impress and move our guests,” continued the senior vice president of marketing for Accor.

” With ‘All Beyond LIMITS’, we are able to redefine luxury, to challenge the norms of what traveleres expected. We have pushed ourselves and our teams to go beyond all that had been done before, and the result is a collection of highly inventive and exclusive experiences, which really must be seen as they are: “Beyond All LIMITS” , concludes Jeff Doane, commercial director of Accor North America and Central.

The experiences are available at select Fairmont properties, by reservation, from Nov. 7 through early 2023. “And we’re just getting started,” we have been told.
