Led by strong returns for shares of Amgen and Verizon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Monday morning. Shares of Amgen
are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow
was most recently trading 273 points, or 0.9%, higher. Amgen’s shares are up $7.19 (2.9%) while those of Verizon are up $0.93, or 2.6%, combining for an approximately 53-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Coca-Cola
