Residents in a northeast Oakville neighbourhood looking to go for a swim this weekend in their community pool will have to look elsewhere.

The Town of Oakville is reminding people that all registered swimming and drop-in swimming programs at Iroquois Ridge pool will be cancelled this Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 22-23).

All registered and drop-in programs are also cancelled Friday (Oct. 21) after 3 p.m.

This is due to the Oakville Aquatic Swim Meet taking place at the community centre this weekend.

Located in the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, south of Dundas St. and east of Eighth Line, the eight-lane swimming pool has ramp access and a leisure pool with a water slide, hydrojets and stair access.

Those looking for other local pools to swim in this weekend, visit public swimming.
